This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the FastFile platform and services provided by Filient LLC. This AUP is incorporated into and is part of our Terms of Service. Violations of this AUP may result in account suspension or termination.
1. General Principles
You agree to use FastFile:
- In compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- In a manner that respects the rights of others
- Only for legitimate tax preparation purposes
- In good faith and without intent to harm or defraud
2. Prohibited Uses
2.1 Illegal Activities
You may NOT use FastFile to:
- Prepare fraudulent tax returns
- Evade taxes or assist others in tax evasion
- Launder money or conceal illegal income
- Violate any federal, state, or local laws
- Engage in any criminal activity
2.2 Fraudulent Conduct
You may NOT:
- Provide false, misleading, or inaccurate information
- Use another person's identity or credentials
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or fees
- Attempt to obtain free services through deceptive means
- File returns on behalf of entities you are not authorized to represent
2.3 Abuse of Service
You may NOT:
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts without written permission
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
- Bypass security measures or access restrictions
- Create excessive load on our systems
- Use the Service to test vulnerabilities or conduct security research without authorization
2.4 Intellectual Property Violations
You may NOT:
- Infringe on our intellectual property rights or those of others
- Copy, modify, or distribute our software or content without permission
- Remove or modify copyright notices, trademarks, or proprietary markings
- Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
2.5 Harmful Content
You may NOT upload or transmit:
- Malware, viruses, or malicious code
- Content that contains security vulnerabilities
- Excessively large files intended to disrupt the Service
- Spam or unsolicited communications
3. Account Responsibilities
3.1 Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Using strong, unique passwords
You may NOT:
- Share your account credentials with others
- Allow others to use your account
- Create accounts for others without their permission
3.2 Accurate Information
You must:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Update your account information when it changes
- Use your real identity (no pseudonyms or fake identities)
3.3 Account Limits
- Each user may have only one account unless authorized otherwise
- You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits, pricing, or other restrictions
- Business users must use appropriate business accounts
4. Proper Use of Features
4.1 Extension Tool (Form 7004)
The free extension tool is intended for:
- Legitimate IRS extension form generation
- Your own clients or business entities
- Reasonable usage volumes
You may NOT:
- Use the tool for entities you are not authorized to represent
- Generate extensions with false information
- Abuse the free tool for commercial purposes without proper authorization
4.2 Paid Return Service (Form 1120 & 5472)
The paid return service is intended for:
- Foreign-owned single-member LLCs (SMLLCs)
- Legitimate tax return preparation
- Entities you are authorized to represent
5. Professional Conduct
If you are a tax professional using FastFile:
5.1 Professional Standards
- You must comply with all applicable professional standards and ethics rules
- You must have proper authorization from clients
- You are responsible for accuracy and compliance of all returns
- You must maintain professional liability insurance as required
5.2 Client Confidentiality
- You must protect client information in accordance with professional standards
- You may not disclose client information without authorization
- You must use appropriate security measures for client data
5.3 IRS Requirements
- If you are a paid preparer, you must have a valid PTIN
- You must comply with IRS Circular 230 (if applicable)
- You must sign returns as required by IRS regulations
6. Commercial Use
6.1 Authorized Commercial Use
Tax professionals and businesses may use FastFile for commercial tax preparation purposes under our paid plans.
6.2 Unauthorized Commercial Use
You may NOT:
- Resell access to FastFile without authorization
- White-label or rebrand the Service
- Integrate FastFile into third-party services without written permission
- Use the free extension tool for high-volume commercial purposes without proper licensing
6.3 Bulk Use
For bulk or high-volume use:
- Contact us at info@fastfile.io for appropriate licensing
- Excessive use of free features may be restricted
- Enterprise plans may be required for large-scale use
7. Monitoring and Enforcement
7.1 Our Rights
We reserve the right to:
- Monitor use of the Service for compliance with this AUP
- Investigate suspected violations
- Suspend or terminate accounts that violate this AUP
- Report illegal activities to law enforcement
- Cooperate with legal investigations
8. Consequences of Violations
8.1 Actions We May Take
Depending on the severity and nature of the violation, we may:
- Issue a warning
- Temporarily suspend your account
- Permanently terminate your account
- Refuse to provide refunds
- Report violations to law enforcement
- Pursue legal action for damages
8.2 Immediate Termination
We may immediately terminate your account without warning for:
- Fraudulent activity or identity theft
- Uploading malware or malicious content
- Attempting to hack or compromise the Service
- Illegal activities
- Severe or repeated violations
8.3 Appeal Process
If your account is suspended or terminated, you may appeal by:
- Emailing info@fastfile.io with "Account Appeal" in the subject
- Providing explanation and evidence
- We will review appeals within 14 business days
9. Reporting Violations
9.1 How to Report
If you become aware of violations of this AUP, please report them to:

- Include: Description, evidence, date/time, and relevant account information
10. Compliance with Laws
You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of FastFile complies with:
- Federal tax laws and regulations
- State and local tax laws

- Export control regulations
- Anti-money laundering laws
- All other applicable laws
